A Must Read: Inc. Magazine Article

I’ve been spending a lot of time at the DMV these last two days…long story that I won’t bore you with but the upside of sitting with time to kill and an old fashion phone I can’t have any fun with while I’m bored – I actually took the time to read the magazines I get and pay for every month.
One of the things I will do on this blog is highlight some of the best of articles worth reading in such magazines as Inc., Fast Company, Entrepreneur and a few others I occasionally get my hands on. (Feel free to email me links to articles you think I should read and mention on the blog)
This particle article I want to link to in Inc. magazine is called Starting Up in a Down Economy. The article takes you through three case studies of entrepreneurs who started their startups in a down slope economy.
The first case study is of Adam Lowry and Eric Ryan’s story with Method. Reading it will seriously motivate any struggling entrepreneur currently trying to make it!
The second case study is of Bill Pratt and RF Micro Devices. Another inspirational story that highlights the importance of having a mentor.
The third case study is of Gary Erickson and Clif Bar. The best part of the that story is learning from two of Gary’s costly mistakes and avoiding making them yourself.
The article also has a really nice timeline of other major staple U.S. businesses that were started in down turns.
It’s an article I’m cutting out and keeping for when things are looking dim and I need a shot of inspiration.
